1. General Refund Policy

GuardWatch operates on a subscription-based model. All subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in this policy.

By subscribing to GuardWatch, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this refund policy.

2. Subscription Refunds

2.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for the upcoming month. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of the current billing period.

2.2 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the entire year. If you cancel your annual subscription within the first 30 days, you may be eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion, minus any applicable processing fees. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable.

2.3 Trial Periods

Free trial periods (including our Pilot Program) are provided at no cost. If you cancel before the trial period ends, no charges will be applied. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and standard refund policies will apply.

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Eligible Refunds

You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical issues that prevent you from accessing the Service for an extended period (more than 7 consecutive days) and cannot be resolved by our support team
  • Duplicate charges due to billing errors on our part
  • Unauthorized charges on your account
  • Annual subscriptions cancelled within the first 30 days (prorated refund)
  • As required by applicable consumer protection laws

3.2 Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Monthly subscription fees after the billing period has started
  • Annual subscription fees after the first 30 days
  • Setup fees or one-time charges
  • Add-on services or features purchased separately
  • Refunds requested due to change of mind or dissatisfaction with the Service
  • Refunds for unused portions of subscription periods

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact our support team:

  • Your account email address
  • Subscription plan and billing period
  • Reason for refund request
  • Any relevant transaction IDs or receipts

We will review your request within 5-7 business days and notify you of our decision via email.

5. Processing Refunds

If your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the transaction
  • Processing time may take 5-10 business days depending on your payment provider
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed
  • Your subscription will be cancelled immediately upon refund approval

Please note that refund processing times may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.

6. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Important: Cancelling your subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Refunds are only provided in accordance with the eligibility criteria outlined in Section 3 of this policy.

After cancellation, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your paid billing period. Your account will be downgraded or deactivated at the end of the billing period.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate your account
  • Dispute the chargeback with your payment provider
  • Provide evidence of your subscription agreement and usage

We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback, as we are committed to resolving disputes amicably.

8. Changes to This Policy

GuardWatch reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through a notice on our website.

Your continued use of the Service after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
